NFL sources are reporting that we could see the Washington Redskins sign DeSean Jackson, following the wide receiver’s somewhat surprising release by the Philadelphia Eagles just a few short days ago. It appears as if Jackson is likely to remain in the NFC East, with a deal possible within the next few hours.
Jackson met with the Redskins on Monday and continues to meet with team officials on Tuesday. Following support from current Redskins, including DeAngelo Hall, Pierre Garcon and Robert Griffin III, new head coach Jay Gruden also appears to be high on Washington signing Jackson.
If all goes well, Jackson would likely take a physical with the Redskins and officially sign with the team at some point this week. As of now, Jackson still has no other visits scheduled with any other team, adding to the rumors and speculation that the Redskins and Jackson are very close to signing a free agent deal.
