Buffalo Bills Reportedly To Hire Rex Ryan As New Head Coach

What didn’t work for Doug Marrone appears to be more than suitable for former New York Jets head coach, Rex Ryan. Less than a month after parting ways with gang Green, and just over a week after Marrone opted out of his contract with the Bills, it appears as if Ryan will be named as the new head coach for yet another AFC East team.

Ryan does have a pair of AFC Championship Game appearances under his belt with the Jets, but the team has been a complete and utter disappointment for quite some time now. After reportedly having various differing opinions with management, Marrone decided to exercise his opt out clause with the Bills and look for greener pastures. At one point, it seemed destined that Marrone would wind up as the next head coach of the Jets, but it now appears more likely as if New York will pass on hiring the former Bills and Syracuse Orange head coach and turn in another direction.

Marrone’s chosen loss certainly appears to be Ryan’s very fortunate gain.
