I was certainly right about low scoring, although my actual prediction was a bit off. I think the Bruins (and Claude) were definitely able to address the concerns that people were having about their defensive play. Let's hope it continues to go in their favor!

Seems like you know what you're talking about, this time anyway! Low scoring, but still an intense fun game!

Baseball, in its current form, is a dying sport. The ratings have been consistently tanking. To your point of placating, as I am a literal member of ADHD America I would love to be placated to (and I might even pay attention long enough to notice). I am certainly not advocating the reinvention of the sport as a whole, but merely a Darwinian influence to a struggling sport.

The views expressed herein are those of the author himself and in no way represent the views of the American people! These are merely my suggestions for what would catch my attention and what I perceive would increase viewership across the board.

The MLB could learn a few lessons from MLS, although I highly doubt they would take anything the MLS has done seriously as their ratings are far poorer than MLB's to begin with. You do have a point with the playoff system but I really think improving the pace of play is where they are going to get their benefit.

Incorrect. Baseball USED TO BE even slower, in that there were fewer runs scored, though the games overall used to move faster. We need to not placate to ADHD America.

What the MLB SHOULD do, however, is move to an MLS style set up, where the top 8 teams ONLY move on to the playoffs, and the bottom team from each league fights to not be relegated to AAA-level or whatever they create that is the level below MLB ball. You'd better believe that the quality of the game at all teams gets better as the Tigers fight to not be kicked out of the MLB and put together a team that can actually compete for a full season.

Good luck convincing owners to buy into this though . . .

It's not easy to admit being out-coached and outplayed, especially by the New York (Jersey) Jets, but it's true... We need to get some tough defensive play makers and some assistants Bill can trust.
