* Tiger Woods will make his much anticipated return next week at The Masters. He picked this Tournament because it has the best security, and they don’t let just anyone in to watch. It has been reported, however, that one (or more) of Tiger’s mistresses will be in attendance. On an entirely separate note, I’m thinking about actually watching The Masters next week…
Is he thinking about his next conquest?
* One more Masters note – if you are a betting man, then The Masters is a great opportunity for you. You can get odds to choose one golfer to win, or take the field minus many of the top names. I thought about calling in a separate bet to Vegas: over/under on how many random women Tiger winks at…Gotta love the over on that one…
* It appears as if the NCAA Basketball Tournament will mess with near perfection next year, and expand the number of teams selected to 96. Many questions present themselves about this situation. Will this take a lot of emphasis off of the conference tourneys the week before? Will the NIT expand as well? Will the somewhat new CBI Tourney cease to exist? What types of teams will make it – more from the Big East, ACC and Big 12, or will we see more from the MEAC and Sunbelt? Finally, and most importantly, how many days will we need to take off from work now? Taking that Thursday and Friday as the two biggest secular holidays are great, but how many people can take off the whole damn week…
* Donovan McNabb is the still a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. They are desperate to move him – I guess they got sick of the nightclub rape accusations, Â dogfighting trials, fights with the coaching staff, steroid allegations…Oh wait, that wasn’t McNabb, was it? Its no wonder why Michael Vick wanted to sign with Philly so badly…
* Anyone else have Butler in their Final Four? C’mon, I can’t be alone! Go Bulldogs…
* Is there anyone out there actually rooting for Duke to win it all? I saw a poll the other day that claimed 41% of the country will be rooting against Duke this weekend. Is that all? I can’t believe it isn’t higher. On a separate note, President Obama was rumored to have changed his bracket and has now selected Duke to win the NCAA championship. Evidently, he wanted to be called a winner again (guess it has been awhile?)…
* MLB will begin it’s season Sunday night when the Boston Red Sox host the defending World Series champs, the New York Yankees. How come when Boston won it all, they got to host New York at Fenway to force them to watch as they got their rings…but when New York wins it all, they still have to travel to Boston? And they say that MLB favors the Yankees. Ha!…

* The New York Jets will be the team featured on the popular series, Hard Knocks. What, Rex Ryan doesn’t get enough air time throughout the season? We now have to watch him here as well? I guess on a more positive note – he will finally fit on the screen using just one camera…
* Can you imagine if the NBA and NHL expanded the number of teams who made the playoffs? I already thought that every team got in as it is set up now! Sadly, both leagues would actually reduce the number of teams if it weren’t for money and television contracts. Each could have four from each conference (eight overall). Although, the NBA could get away with just giving the Lakers a bye from the West to the Finals, and just let Orlando and Cleveland fight it out in the East. My sincere apologies to any fans of the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. Those are the only teams I need to mention. No one else has a legitimate chance. Seriously…
* Mark McGwire is back in a St. Louis Cardinals uniform as Opening Day is right around the corner. No, not as a player, but as their hitting coach. Sammy Sosa wanted to come back to the Chicago Cubs, but was turned away due to lack of identification. Having lost a lot of weight, on top of the fact he is now more pale than a member of the Swiss Bowling team, nobody knew who he was…

* The NFL Draft is just three weeks away, and will now be televised in prime time. Guess they want to have the longest telethon in TV history. I know, it isn’t really a telethon, but it can be equally as painful to watch. At least Jerry Lewis adds some humor. Anyone ever hear of this Tebow guy? I know, right…
OK, OK – I’m done. My brother in law told me that most posts are less than 500 words. While I have once again gone well over that, I hope I least entertained you on some level…even if it cost me 855 words…

I don’t actually recall saying anything along the lines of not being entertaining or informative. They are all very entertaining and informative… just somewhat long-winded.
