The 2013 Preakness Stakes is scheduled to post this Saturday at 6:20 p.m. from Pimlico, with Orb leading the morning line favorites. The Kentucky Derby winner will look to win the second leg of Horse Racing’s glorious Triple Crown from the No. 1 post position, although many feel as if the horse in the No. 4 slot may actually be the one to beat. Departing is currently a 6-1 favorite, although many feel as if he is Orb’s closest competition, despite the fact that Mylute is listed at 5-1. If Orb is to become the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the Triple Crown, it will not only have to hold off those two, but six other challengers who will be looking to spoil the bid.

Coverage of the 138th Preakness Stakes from Baltimore will begin at 4:30 p.m. on NBC, with the actual race slated to start roughly two hours later.
