The 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club is underway, although weather is already wreaking havoc. First round play has been suspended indefinitely, and it could be quite some time before it resumes, with heavy rain expected throughout most of Thursday. Prior to the first few groups of players teeing off to begin play, pairings were announced that intrigued many fans, especially with the top group featuring Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott. Of course, it is not the only notable pairing for Thursday and Friday, as many trios have been grouped together that are guaranteed to make the fans happy. But, while many golfers have an excellent chance to hoist the 113th U.S. Open trophy on Sunday, the odds on favorite is once again Woods, coming in at 5-1 to start the first round.
If you are looking to see what time your favorite tees off over the first two rounds as they look to make the weekend cut, check out the complete pairings below. For some of the odds on favorite to win this weekend’s U.S. Open, continue reading.

2013 U.S. Open Odds:
Tiger Woods: 5-1
Justin Rose: 16-1
Matt Kuchar: 18-1
Phil Mickelson: 20-1
Graeme McDowell: 20-1
Adam Scott: 20-1
Charl Schwartzel: 22-1
Rory McIlroy: 22-1
Dustin Johnson: 28-1
Lee Westwood: 28-1
Brandt Snedeker: 33-1
For what it is worth, I am certainly not betting on Woods. The odds are just not worth it, and the field is far too open. I would bet the field over Woods, although I truly feel as if the weather and parity will make this a very difficult tournament to predict.
