Project Road Warrior Chooses 8 Special Operation Forces Veterans To Ride A Can-Am Spyder Across The Country

Project Road Warrior is all about providing wounded, ill and injured United States veterans memorable adventures that serve as one of the critical steps in their rehabilitative journey. “Project Road Warrior was founded by three friends, veterans, citizens and patriots looking to do more for their fellow soldiers in need.” Thanks to this great program, Project Road Warrior is bringing eight Special Operation Forces veterans across the country to experience the ride of a lifetime. It is only fitting that they have chosen that these eight brave patriots will ride a Can-Am Spyder on their journey. After all, like both sides agree, life is about the journey!

  • “I am currently a member of the Can-Am Spyder Preferred Blogger Program and this post is part of my involvement. While Can-Am Spyder provides me material and necessary resources to complete various activities, all statements and sentiment in Boston Super Blog are my own.”

The following statement was taken directly from the Project Road Warrior home page:

Life is about the journey; our past experiences have bonded us together leading to this effort in helping others enjoy that journey.  The goal of this ride is to raise awareness and funds to support Special Operation Wounded, Ill and Injured.

Why Can-Am Spyder? Because our riders are looking for an exhilarating ride and open road adventure, and Can-Am Spyder is the only one that combines these with incredible stability and control.   Our riders are all special forces veterans, so they know the importance of having the right equipment, and powered by Can-Am Spyder, they are going to enjoy every moment of this coast to coast 10 day ride across our beautiful country from Seattle to Tampa.

On the journey, we will share a message that will benefit all veterans and aims to inspire others to help.  You see, these riders share a bond, not only are they Special Operations Forces veterans but were all injured, many of them severely.  You will not find a more resilient group of heroes.  Help us give back some of the independence and freedom ripped from their lives as we try to make the world better for all we can reach.  Please give what you can to help these veterans leave it all in their rear-view mirror as they cross the country – show up along the route to support the riders or donate here on-line, or both.

Thank-you
Project Road Warrior

For those wondering, the ride from Seattle to Tampa is approximately more than 3,000 miles. These eight riders will make this trek in 10 days across the country. It is a trip that would take more than two days by car, so you can only imagine how challenging this ride will be.

If you are still somehow not convinced, the Can-Am Spyder is the ride of choice that all adventure-seekers are choosing. NHL Hall of Fame center Mark Messier guarantees that you will love the ride. NASCAR superstar Danica Patrick personally told me that “Instead of just having fun once you arrive at your destination, the Can-AM Spyder makes the destination part of the fun.” WWE Hall-of-Famer Shawn Michaels has just two words for anyone who is not down with becoming a #SpyderRyder: Ride it! Even NFL Super Bowl winning quarterback Drew Brees is trying to get in on the action, even if his current contract forbids it!

"The journey is part of the adventure"

“The journey is part of the adventure”

So, while we know that Brees cannot #RideaSpyder, but you can. In fact, you can win a $5,000 trip to New Orleans, meet Brees in person and attend a football game! You can also enter to win the Spyder that Brees is forbidden to ride! Simply select the best route YOU think Drew Brees’ should take with ‪#‎CanAmSpyder‬ and you could win a $5,000 trip to New Orleans to meet Drew Brees and attend a football game! If that wasn’t awesome enough – there’s a loophole! Simply share the personalized link at the end of the entry and you will receive TWO more entries and maximize your chances of winning even more!

Also, Patrick has partnered with BRP and the all new Can-Am Spyder to launch a new contest where fans can help her pick her new ride, as well as enter a contest to win a Spyder of their own and possibly even receive an opportunity to ride with Patrick. You can enter online or by visiting a local dealer.

Between Messier, Patrick, Michaels and now Brees, Can-AM Spyder is clearly attracting people who love excitement. If you would like to find out for yourself just how exhilarating riding a new Can-Am Spyder can be, make sure to visit a local dealer near you. To find some more information on the new Can-Am Spyder, make sure to visit their website. You can also Like Can-Am Spyder on Facebook and follow them on Twitter!

Can-Am Spyder: Riding Reinvented

In 1997, the BRP design team was given the following challenge: create a motorcycle with 3 wheels or less that is capable of appealing to the 95 percent of the population who don’t ride today. The concept of Spyder and its unique Y-frame design was born and officially launched in 2007. Combining the Y-frame design with state of the art 7 automobile technologies and Rotax engine, Can-Am Spyder gives the rider a greater sense of control and confidence to enjoy to the fullest the incredible exhilaration of open air, open road riding.

 Can-Am Spyder is a relatively new vehicle and BRP is taking an innovative approach in marketing communication, using celebrity influencers and branded entertainment to be present where the consumers are consuming media and content.

 With Can-am Spyder, BRP believes that everyone should experience the exhilaration of riding in the open air on the open road.

 The Can-Am Spyder has a clear point of difference vs. motorcycles in that it offers the exhilaration of open air riding with confidence and control that comes from its unique Y frame design, three-wheeled platform and 7 automotive technologies. This makes it appealing to motorcycle riders, but importantly, Can-Am Spyder is uniquely placed to attract new entrants into open air riding, those consumers who have aspired to the motorcycle lifestyle but would not purchase a two wheel motorcycle.

 Whether you’re headed across town or across the country, no matter what your riding style is, from sport to touring to somewhere in between, there’s a Can-Am Spyder for every rider.

 Can-Am Spyder is the only vehicle with a Y-frame design and seven automotive technologies. Those technologies are:
o Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
o Traction control
o Stability control
o Semi-automatic transmission (optional)
o Power steering
o Reverse
o Cruise control
