Will Minnesota Timberwolves Trade Kevin Love To Cleveland Cavaliers To Create New Big 3 For LeBron James?

As you may have heard, the rumors have been confirmed. LeBron James is indeed headed home to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. James left, broke the city’s heart, watched as the fans burnt his jerseys and booed him mercilessly and won two NBA championships, only to show that nobody is quicker to forgive than sports fans. Along with Kyrie Irving, the Cavs have a solid 1-2 punch. With youngsters such as Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Dion Waiters and others, it is easy to see why many fans in Cleveland are excited about next season and beyond. Could things be about to get a whole lot better? They will if the Minnesota Timberwolves trade Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for a package consisting of young prospects and draft picks.

Love wants out of Minnesota. Desperately. It is nothing personal. He is just sick of losing. Throughout history, players have asked to leave Cleveland because they are sick of losing. Now, somebody wants to go there for the same reason. How about that?

Reportedly, Love is “intrigued” by the idea of a trade to Cleveland, and said he would commit to a long-term deal with the Cavs past this season. Cleveland reportedly opened up dialogue with Minnesota by offering Waiters, Bennett and a first-round pick for Love. If the Cavs are to land Love, they will likely be forced to include Wiggins as part of any deal.

If the Cavs are serious about acquiring Love, but steadfast against dealing Wiggins, they may need to get a third team involved to facilitate a trade.

It would make for an interesting new Big 3 for James, if Cleveland were to equip him with Love and Irving. That would actually make for a more formidable Big 3 than what he just left with the Miami Heat, with an aging and injury-riddled Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
