2015 MLB Predictions: Nationals Over Mariners In World Series, Cubs And Padres Improve But Not Playoff Bound Yet

The 2015 MLB regular season is finally upon us, with Opening Day just hours away. Yes, the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals officially started the season last night, but true baseball traditionalists see today as the real beginning. After so many fans suffered through the most miserable winter of all-time, I’m sure that this is a big day for so many people. While many are betting on the Cubs to end their World Series drought that has lasted for well over 100 years now, I just don’t see them as being ready quite yet. Could they perhaps compete for a Wild Card berth? Sure, but even that may be a bit of a reach. Just don’t tell that to the gamblers who have only wagered more on the Washington Nationals to win the World Series than the Cubs. Either way, every team is 0-0 to begin the season, meaning fans of all 30 MLB teams have hope. Sadly, that hope will soon fade for many after the first month or two of the season but, we’ll let them have today.

Without any further ado, here are my predictions for the 2015 MLB regular season, including playoff picks and a World Series champion:
